7th Circ. Affirms Ex-Motorola Engineer's IP Theft Conviction

Law360, Los Angeles (September 26, 2013, 8:30 PM EDT) -- The Seventh Circuit on Thursday upheld the conviction and four-year prison sentence handed to a former Motorola Inc. software engineer who allegedly stole company trade secrets pertaining to its cellular telecommunications technology, finding the engineer knew the theft would hurt Motorola financially.
