Rig Worker's Same-Sex Harrassment Win Mostly Affirmed

Law360, New York (January 14, 2014, 10:49 PM EST) -- A California appeals court upheld the bulk of a win Monday for a former Nabors Drilling USA LP rig worker and sexual harassment plaintiff who said he was subjected to crass homophobic epithets, ruling that a problem with a special verdict form was a harmless error.

While the three-judge panel published opinion knocked $10,000 off of Max Taylor's $160,000 damages award, it affirmed a $680,520 attorneys' fee award in his favor and ruled — on a matter of first impression — that a defective special verdict...
