Court Urged To Keep Alive LNG Plant's $1.4B Tax Break Suit

Law360 (March 12, 2018, 10:09 PM EDT) -- JMCB LLC asked a Louisiana federal court on Monday to deny Sabine Pass Liquefaction LLC’s motion to dismiss its claim over a $1.4 billion tax break for a liquefied natural gas plant, saying Sabine lacked standing because JMCB voluntarily dismissed Sabine from the lawsuit.

The company said it thought its claims against the Louisiana Board of Commerce and Industry and the state Department of Economic Development could be adjudicated without Sabine’s participation because the governmental agencies were the only parties alleged to have committed unconstitutional acts...
