Kinder Morgan Wants Indemnity In Pipeline Inspection OT Suit

Law360 (March 5, 2021, 5:26 PM EST) -- Kinder Morgan Inc. claims it has been wrongly accused of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act in an Oklahoma federal collective action filed by pipeline inspectors the company contracts with and wants to be indemnified, according to Texas state court filings.

The energy giant and three of its pipeline operators filed a petition Thursday asking a Harris County District Court to order nine inspection firms it routinely contracts with to indemnify Kinder Morgan against claims filed in December 2019 in the Western District of Oklahoma on behalf of inspectors seeking unpaid overtime wages.
