Stratum Energy To Spend $150M In Romania Expansion

Law360, New York (October 2, 2014, 4:33 PM EDT) -- U.S. energy company Stratum Energy plans to invest $150 million to expand oil and gas production in Romania, the Texas energy company said Thursday, a move that would beef up the Eastern European country's energy infrastructure.

The investment, which requires government approval, would increase production at the Poduri oilfield in Bacau County, northeast of capital Bucharest. The Houston-based firm has already invested $70 million in Romania.
