Baker Hughes Strikes Deal In Workers' OT Suit

Law360, New York (December 6, 2017, 4:58 PM EST) -- Baker Hughes Oilfield Operations Inc. agreed Tuesday to settle a North Dakota federal collective action alleging it unfairly denied overtime to more than 100 field engineers in training, some of whom earned more than $100,000 per year.

The company and the collective did not say in their joint memorandum for settlement approval how much Baker Hughes would pay to the 122-member collective, though they noted Nichols Kaster PLLP, which represented the workers, incurred about $575,000 in hourly fees.
