Formosa Reaches $12.8M PVC Deal

By Evan Weinberger (September 30, 2009, 5:18 PM EDT) -- Formosa Plastics Corp. has agreed to pay $2.8 million in fines and spend more than $10 million to clean up air, water and hazardous waste violations at facilities in Texas and Louisiana as part of a settlement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Justice, but the two sides differed in public statements about some of the terms of the agreement....
