Biden Taps NM Rep. As 1st Native American Interior Secretary
Law360 (December 17, 2020, 9:23 PM EST) -- President-elect Joe Biden announced the nomination of Rep. Deb Haaland, D-N.M., for interior secretary on Thursday, putting the Pueblo of Laguna member in line to become the first Native American to head the agency.
