11th Circ. Hands Win To Ecuador In Chevron Discovery Fight

Law360, New York (December 19, 2013, 12:12 AM EST) -- Ecuador should have access to personal notes and non-attorney emails by a Chevron Corp. expert in the ongoing dispute with the oil giant over pollution allegedly caused by one of its units, the Eleventh Circuit ruled Wednesday.

A three-judge panel affirmed a lower court ruling asking Chevron and its expert, engineer Robert Hinchee, to turn over a number of documents, given his role as an expert in the underlying Ecuador litigation.
