House Dems Unveil Oil Spill Whistleblower Protection Bill

Law360, New York (June 23, 2015, 3:57 PM EDT) -- A contingent of California Congressional Democrats on Monday announced a new bill that would extend whistleblower protections to employees working on the Outer Continental Shelf performing oil and gas exploration, drilling, production or oil spill cleanup.

Reps. Mark DeSaulnier, Lois Capps and Jared Huffman, all Democrats from the Golden State, introduced the Offshore Oil and Gas Worker Whistleblower Protection Act of 2015 because they said currently there are no federal protections for OCS workers.
