Compel Sanctions on Discovery Matters
ORDER SETTING DEADLINES FOR PLAINTIFFS DEPOSITION, WRITTEN DISCOVERY RESPONSES, AND DOCUMENT PRODUCTIONS by Magistrate Judge Steve Kim. With these directives and deadlines, Defendants motion to compel (ECF 40) is granted in part and denied in part to the extent ordered here. Defendants request for monetary sanctions is denied without prejudice to renewing (and seeking further sanctions) in writing if Plaintiff fails to comply with this order absent good cause or substantial justification. To that end, the Court sets a sanctions status conference for 10 AM on June 18, 2025 in Courtroom 540 of the Roybal Federal Building and United States Courthouse. That hearing can be vacated as unnecessary (or continued if appropriate) by the parties so long as a stipulation and proposed order to that effect is timely lodged with the Court by no later than Noon PT on June 16, 2025. Meanwhile, the hearing on Defendants motion to compel (re)noticed for June 4, 2025 is vacated. (SEE ORDER FOR DETAILS). (clee)
