District Judge Julia E. Kobick: ELECTRONIC ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE entered.
On June 29, 2023, plaintiffs Sharon Petrillo and Joseph Petrillo requested, and the Court entered, a notice of default against defendant Vantage Travel Service, Inc. ECF 5-6. In the past ten months, the plaintiffs have not moved for entry of default judgment against Vantage under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 55(b) or notified the Court of any developments in this case. Accordingly, the plaintiffs shall show cause—by May 13, 2024—as to why this action should not be dismissed without prejudice for lack of prosecution pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(b). See Enlace Mercantil Internacional, Inc. v. Senior Indus., Inc., 848 F.2d 315, 316-17 (1st Cir. 1988) (“Rule 41(b) is one manifestation of the ancient and inherent power of a trial judge ‘to achieve the orderly and expeditious disposition of cases.’” (quoting Link v.
