HEARING ORDER AND MEMORANDUM. The Court held a hearing today to discuss the dispute identified by the parties at ECF No. 411. During the hearing, Plaintiffs' counsel clarified that Plaintiffs were moving to amend the Scheduling Order (ECF No. 385). She also explained that there have been developments since ECF No. 411 was filed, including discussions between the Plaintiffs and DuPont that may result in another motion to amend the scheduling order, discussions of which Southern Mills and Safety Products were evidently unaware. The Court concluded that the parties would benefit from further meeting and conferring to determine whether they could reach an agreement on whether and to what extent the Scheduling Order should be modified. Accordingly, the Court directs the parties to meet and confer between now and Wednesday, July 29, 2026 in a good faith effort to reach agreement on the schedule. On or before 5:00 pm EDT on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, they shall file a joint status report, containing the following information: (a) a certification that they have met and conferred in good faith; (b) if the parties have reached mutual agreement on proposed modifications to the schedule, the status report should include the proposed schedule; and (c) if some or all proposed modifications have not been agreed upon, a brief and non-argumentative statement of the areas of disagreement.
