Order on Motion for Miscellaneous Relief
(Text-Only) ORDER granting (78) Motion in case 0:26-cv-02661-KMM-DTS; granting (53) Motion in case 0:26-cv-02778-KMM-DTS; granting (50) Motion in case 0:26-cv-02841-KMM-DTS.
The Court has reviewed the Motion and Memorandum of Law of Brandon M. Hayes for Leave to File Brief as Amicus Curiae [78 in case 0:26-cv-02661-KMM-DTS] and the lone response to that motion from the State Defendants [84 in case 0:26-cv-02661-KMM-DTS]. The deadline for any other input regarding the motion has expired, and none has been received from any parties. The Court will grant the amicus motion, and because Mr. Hayes has already filed the brief as a separate docket entry [80 in case 0:26-cv-02661-KMM-DTS; 55 in case 0:26-cv-02778-KMM-DTS; 52 in Case 0:26-cv-02841-KMM-DTS], the Court requires no further action and considers the brief submitted. However, as the State Defendants observe, no other motion or matter is pending before the Court at this time, so no party need respond to the Amicus Brief in any way.
Ordered by Judge Katherine M. Menendez on 8/13/2026. Associated Cases: 0:26-cv-02661-KMM-DTS, 0:26-cv-02778-KMM-DTS, 0:26-cv-02841-KMM-DTS(LC1)
