ORDER (by docket entry only): This matter is before the Court on a sua sponte jurisdictional inquiry into diversity of citizenship. Within seven days of this Order, Plaintiff Nova Johndel Scott and Defendant B&A Transportation, LLC are ORDERED to file notices indicating their citizenships. Citizenship for individuals is equivalent to domicile, which is a party's "true, fixed, and permanent home and principal establishment, and to which he has the intention of returning whenever he is absent therefrom." McCormick v. Aderholt, 293 F.3d 1254, 125758 (11th Cir. 2002). The citizenship of an LLC is determined by the citizenships of each of its members and submembers. See Rolling Greens MHP, L.P. v. Comcast SCH Holdings LLC, 374 F.3d 1020, 1022 (11th Cir. 2004). Defendant B&A Transportation must specifically allege the citizenship of its members, rather than state merely what states they are not citizens of (as it did improperly in the notice of removal).
