Text Order
TEXT ORDER: The Court is in receipt of (1) defendant's supplemental filing dated 8/12/26 (Dkt. 16 ) regarding the IEP meetings pre-dating the implementation of L.N.'s new IEP, L.N.'s placement at South Amboy High School, and plaintiff's apparent consent regarding the same; and (2) plaintiff's letter dated 8/11/26 (Dkt. 15 ) requesting permission to file a response to the supplemental filing. In the first instance, the Court notes that defendant publicly filed documents containing L.N.'s full name and other personally identifiable information, in violation of Fed. R. of Civ. P. 5.2(a) and L. Civ. R. 5.2(17), which require parties to use a minor's initials when filing any materials containing the name of an individual known to be a minor. The Court has already sealed the offending materials, and directs the parties in the future not to file unredacted and/or unsealed references to L.N.'s full name and other personally identifiable information. Additionally, the Court GRANTS plaintiffs' request to respond to defendant's supplemental filing; plaintiff shall file any letter in response no later than 8/19/26. The Court will take appropriate action upon receipt of that letter. So Ordered by Magistrate Judge J. Brendan Day on 8/14/2026. (cry)
