ORDER: The parties' request for a settlement conference is granted. The settlement conference is scheduled for September 16, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in Courtroom 11C before Magistrate Judge Peggy Kuo in Courtroom 11C before Magistrate Judge Peggy Kuo. Plaintiff and her counsel must be present. A representative of Defendants and their counsel must also be present.
The deadline for the parties to submit their confidential ex parte settlement statements to Kuo_Chambers@nyed.uscourts.gov is extended to September 7, 2026. The statements must include the last offer and demand, and a frank assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of each party's case. For guidance on the requirements for the statements, the parties should consult Magistrate Judge Peggy Kuo's Individual Practice Rules. The Court will schedule ex parte telephone calls with counsel after review of the statements.
The parties are reminded to comply with Judge Kuo's Individual Practice Rule IV.C, which states that "[i]f a requested extension affects any other scheduled dates or deadlines, a revised Proposed Discovery Plan/Scheduling Order must be attached." They are directed to file a proposed discovery plan no later than September 2, 2026. Ordered by Magistrate Judge Peggy Kuo on 8/26/2026. (VRM)
