MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS - Motion Hearing held on 9/4/2026 before Judge Cristina D. Silva. Crtrm Administrator: D. Parties are present. The Court addresses receiver's emergency motion (ECF No. 993 and ECF 992 ) in case 2:22-cv-00612-CDS-EJY. The Court hears representations from Mr. Ewing. Counsel will file a report with Las Vegas Metro Police Department.
Accordingly, as stated on the record (ECF No. 992 and 993 ) are GRANTED as to relief requested for authorization to aid in the investigation. The Court requests that Mr. Ewing file a proposed order.
The Court addresses the concern of conflict of interest as to cases 2:26-cv-996-CDS and 2:26-cv-1000-CDS. The Court sets a hearing to inquire into the conflict on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM in LV Courtroom 6B before Judge Cristina D. Silva. IT IS ORDERED that defendants Jeffrey Judd, Jordan Judd, Kennedy Judd, Parker Judd, Preston Judd, Gary Judd and Emily Newberry are to be present at the hearing. Further, counsel for the Judds and Ms. Newberry shall be present. The Court will then conduct an inquiry into the representation of the collective Judds in the separate actions and what appears to be an issue with that.
Further, the Court requires the receiver to file a status report regarding information garnered as a result of the Court granting the relief set forth in ECF No. 993 . Depending on the contents of that report, it may be filed under seal. Status report is due November 3, 2026.
