ORDER: On 6/5/2026, the Court directed Defendant Walker to answer or otherwise respond to the complaint by 6/30/2026. To date, no such filing has been made. The Court sua sponte extends Defendant Walker's time to answer or otherwise respond to the complaint to 7/23/2026.
Additionally, also by 7/23/2026, should Defendant Walker determine to proceed pro se, she must send a letter to the E.D.N.Y. Pro Se Office, with her contact information, including her address, phone number, and email address, and indicating her intent to proceed pro se.
Defendant Walker is advised that Rule 16(f) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure provides that "the court may issue any just orders, including those authorized by Rule 37(b)(2)(A)(ii)-(vii), if a party or its attorney... fails to obey a scheduling or other pretrial order." Under Rule 37(b)(2)(A)(vi), the Court may render a default judgment against the disobedient party. Defendant Walker is respectfully advised that she must enter her notice of intent to proceed pro se and comply with the Court's orders; failure to do so could result in the entry of a default judgment against Defendant Walker.
Plaintiff is respectfully directed to provide this order to Defendant Walker and to file proof of same by 7/9/2026. The Clerk of Court is respectfully directed to mail this order and the full docket sheet to Defendant Walker at 194-15 120th Ave., Saint Albans, NY 11412. Ordered by Magistrate Judge Taryn A.
