MINUTES OF (ZOOM) REQUEST OF MARIO MARTINEZ TO WITHDRAW AS ATTORNEY (DKT. 55); ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE RE DISMISSAL; Motion Hearing held before Judge John A. Kronstadt: Granting 55 REQUEST to Withdraw as Attorney: The Court adheres to its tentative views and the Motion is GRANTED. A separate order will be issued. The Court confirms with Plaintiff that she will continue to represent herself, unless she retains new counsel, and that she understands her obligation to comply with the rules in the same manner as if she were still represented by counsel. Plaintiff states that she is willing to participate in another settlement conference. The Court sets a deadline of November 18, 2026, to meet with a panel mediator. The parties shall file a status report of the procedural outcome by November 20, 2026. The Court sets a further status conference as to settlement or further proceedings for November 30, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., with the specific time to be set when the final calendar issues for that date. The Court confirms that no further discovery is needed. If this action is resolved by November 30, 2026, no further dates will be set at the status conference. Otherwise, a trial date will be set. Defendant's counsel shall coordinate with Plaintiff about the selection of a volunteer neutral from the panel. Because Plaintiff has elected to represent herself, she shall file a Notice of Appearance in the Court docket. The Order to Show Cause re Dismissal issued on December 9, 2025 (Dkt. 37) is discharged.
