Text Order ~Util - Set Hearings
TEXT ORDER: As per today's Initial Scheduling Conference and the parties' agreement, the parties shall engage in settlement negotiations. If the parties do not reach a settlement, the Court will conduct a Settlement Conference by way of Videoconference on 10/23/26 at 11:00 a.m. and will provide the parties with the connection information in advance. All parties, client representatives, and/or insurance claims adjusters with FULL AND ACTUAL settlement authority are required to attend. The parties shall fax confidential settlement position papers of five (5) pages or less to Chambers (973-645- 4549) on or before 10/20/26. As per the parties' agreement, the parties' obligations to conduct any discovery shall be held in abeyance, pending the outcome of the Settlement Conference. The Court will issue a Pretrial Scheduling Order in the event the parties do not reach a settlement. So Ordered by Magistrate Judge Jessica S. Allen on 9/16/2026. (amv)
