MINUTE entry before the Honorable Young B. Kim: On February 5, 2026, the court ordered the parties to file motions in limine by April 24, 2026, with responses due by May 8, 2026. (R. 73.) Plaintiff filed two motions [ 78 , 79 ] and the parties filed one joint, agreed motion 80 . Because Defendant did not file any opposition to Plaintiff's motions by the deadline, all pending motions are granted. Parties must adhere to the following restrictions during trial: (1) Defendant is barred from mentioning, referring to, or attempting to convey to the trier of fact---directly or indirectly---any evidence related to alleged conversations or events involving Michael Horrell (who died in July 2022) and from introducing evidence regarding Ryze or any other businesses Defendant may operate or operated that are unrelated to Aura Real Estate Management; and (2) the parties are barred from mentioning in any form any offers of compromise or settlement in this case and making any reference to the summary judgment ruling. Parties and their attorneys are directed to caution their witnesses regarding these evidentiary restrictions. Witnesses must not testify that they have been "instructed not to say" or "barred from saying" anything regarding the topics covered in this order. Violations will result in sanctions or corrective jury instructions to ensure the integrity of the proceedings. Parties are reminded that pretrial hearing is scheduled for June 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in courtroom 1019. (pk, ) (Entered: 05/12/2026)
