Status Conference ~Util - Set Deadlines/Hearings
Minute Entry for proceedings held before Judge Maria Antongiorgi-Jordan: Status Conference held via VTC on 8/13/2026. Present were counsels Jose Hernandez-Mayoral and Patricia Rivera-MacMurray on behalf of plaintiff and counsel Scott Sholder on behalf of defendants. The Court informed the parties that all claims have been dismissed except for the copyright infringement claims arising from "Boricua en la Luna". As to settlement negotiations, counsel for Plaintiff informed that there have been no recent settlement discussions and that they are prepared to proceed to trial. Counsel for Defendants informed that Defendants reached out to discuss settlement prior to the filing of the O&O but did not receive a response. Counsel for Defendants further informed that he will need to confer with his clients regarding how they wish to proceed with respect to settlement. The parties anticipate that the trial will last approximately one week. After having heard the parties, the Court set the following schedule: Motions in Limine due by 10/30/2026. Pretrial Conference is set for 12/17/2026 at 01:30 PM in Hato Rey Courtroom 2 before Judge Maria Antongiorgi-Jordan. Jury Trial is set for 1/11/2027 at 09:00 AM in Hato Rey Courtroom 2 before Judge Maria Antongiorgi-Jordan. (Court Reporter DCR.) (Hearing held in HR Courtroom 2.) Hearing set for 02:00.
