Order on Motion to Seal Order on Motion for Copy
ORDER granting in part, denying in part 454 457 Motions to Seal, Motions for Monthly Copies. As Mr. Gray has previously been advised, ECF No. 226 , the Court does not accept ex parte submissions from pro se civil litigants. Per his alternative request, the Court will construe his two letters as motions to seal. The Court GRANTS the motions to seal in part, as to ECF No. 354 -3, which appears to have Mr. Gray's personally identifying information (PII). The Clerk of Court is directed to seal ECF No. 354 -3. However, the motions to seal are DENIED as to any other PII that Mr. Gray seeks to place under seal. Other than this one citation to the docket, Mr. Gray does not specify whether there are any other documents that he seeks to place under seal. And it is not the Court's responsibility to scour the thousands of pages docketed in this case to determine whether his or his family members' PII might be improperly included. If Mr. Gray wishes to renew his request by citing to specific filings by ECF number, the Court will review the submissions to see whether they should be sealed and whether the Plaintiff should be directed to file properly redacted documents.
Further, the request that this Court launch an investigation into how Plaintiff obtained the information at issue is DENIED. However, all parties are reminded that they must comply with Fed. R. Civ. P. 5.2(a), which requires the redaction and/or sealing of documents containing an individual's social security number, taxpayer-identification number, birth date, and other PII.
Finally, Mr. Gray's request for the Clerk's Office to send him monthly copies of the docket sheet is DENIED. The Clerk already mailed Mr. Gray a copy of the docket sheet and operative Second Amended Complaint on January 15, 2026, ECF No. 299, as a courtesy. Mr. Gray was advised at that time that "[t]his courtesy shall not be extended again in the future." ECF No. 299.
