Order on Motion for Extension of Time to Complete Discovery
TEXT ORDER: Plaintiff has filed an unopposed 22 Motion for Extension of Time to Complete Fact Discovery. The motion does not state whether the requested extension would affect the dispositive-motion deadline, as required by this Court's Standing Order. See Hon. Ronald L. Hanna, Civil Standing Order § V.B (effective Oct. 28, 2025). The current dispositive-motion deadline is October 8, 2026, but Plaintiff seeks to extend the fact-discovery deadline to November 2, 2026, without requesting a corresponding extension of the dispositive-motion deadline or otherwise addressing that deadline. Although the circumstances described in the motion appear likely to establish good cause to modify the discovery schedule, Plaintiff must comply with the applicable procedural requirements, including those set forth in § V.B of the Court's Standing Order. Accordingly, Plaintiff's 22 Motion for Extension of Time to Complete Fact Discovery is DENIED without prejudice. Plaintiff may file a renewed motion that complies with the Courts Standing Order.
