Initial Conference Hearing ~Util - Set Deadlines
MINUTE ENTRY for proceedings held before Magistrate Judge Marcia M. Henry: A video initial conference was held on 07/07/2026. Mark Newman appeared on behalf of the Plaintiff. Richard Brueckner appeared on behalf of Defendants Ceva Contract Logistics US, Inc, Penske Truck Leasing Co, LP, and Joseph Nimley.
As stated on the record, the requirements for diversity jurisdiction have been met and this Court has subject matter jurisdiction in this action. 28 U.S.C. § 1332(a).
The parties' proposed discovery plan is So Ordered as amended. The parties shall move to join new parties and/or to amend the pleadings by 01/12/2027. The parties shall complete fact discovery by 02/05/2027 with a joint status report certifying the close of fact discovery due 02/19/2027. The parties shall complete all discovery by 08/27/2027 with a joint status report certifying the close of all discovery due by 09/10/2027. See attached for relevant deadlines.
By 10/07/2026, the parties shall file a joint status report (not exceeding three pages) on their progress with discovery, and settlement discussions. The parties shall not include the terms and/or conditions of settlement in their submission.
