MEMORANDUM Opinion and Order signed by the Honorable Edmond E. Chang. For the reasons explained in the Opinion, Defendant District 65's motion to dismiss, R. 5, is granted as to the federal law claims in Count 5, that is, the claims under the ID EA, the Rehabilitation Act, and the ADA. But because this was the Plaintiffs' first complaint, the dismissal is without prejudice as explained in the Opinion. The Plaintiffs are granted leave to file an amended complaint by 10/13/2026. If no ame nded complaint is filed, then the dismissal will convert to a dismissal with prejudice and supplemental jurisdiction over the state law claims will be relinquished. Also, as mentioned earlier, the Plaintiffs must also file a motion to proceed under a pseudonym or anonymously by 10/13/2026 if they wish to do so. The tracking status hearing of 10/09/2026 is reset to 10/23/2026 at 8:30 a.m., but to track the case only (no appearance is required, the case will not be called). Emailed notice (mw, )
