ORDER re 17 request for certificate of default and 18 certificate of service of motion for default judgment: Pursuant to Rule 4(i) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure ("Rule 4(i)"), effectuating service on the United States, its Agencies, Officers, or Employees, requires delivery of the Summons and Complaint to the United States attorney for the district where the action is brought, and the U.S. Attorney General in Washington D.C. Upon review of the docket sheet, it does not appear that a summons has issued nor has service been effectuated on federal Defendants in accordance with Rule 4(i). The Clerk of Court is directed to immediately issue summons against federal Defendants by including service on the United States Attorney's Office, Eastern District of New York, and the Attorney General of the United States, pursuant to Federal Rules of Civil Procedure 4(i), to immediately mail a copy of the summons to the United States Attorney's Office, Eastern District of New York and the Attorney General of the United States via overnight mail or FedEx, and to note the mailing on the docket.It is further ordered that Defendants shall file a response to the portion of Plaintiff's Emergency Motion 4 that seeks a preliminary injunction by October 25, 2026, and Plaintiff shall file a reply, if any, by November 2, 2026.Ordered by Judge Orelia E.
