TEXT ORDER: The Court is in receipt of the status letter submitted by Defendant Khan ("Defendant") on August 20, 2026. (ECF 195.) Defendant informs the Court that an agreement was made with Allure General Contracting ("Allure") to voluntarily dismiss the third-party complaint against Defendant. (Id. at 2.) Attorney for Allure Aiden Murphy signed the letter on August 19, 2026. (Id. at 4.) Accordingly, the Court DISMISSES the third-party claim against Defendant asserted by Allure without prejudice. Text Order 1 - Terminate Hearings ~Util - Set Hearings
TEXT ORDER: The Court is in receipt of the parties' joint letter dated August 19, 2026 at Dkt. No. 195 . The Court thanks the parties for their efforts to prioritize settlement and amicably resolve certain outstanding issues. No later than August 31, 2026, Defendant Allure Contracting shall submit a proposed stipulation of dismissal of its Third-Party Complaint at Dkt. No. 7 to the attention of The Hon. Jamel K. Semper, U.S.D.J. for consideration. Next, in light of the pending motions for reconsideration at Dkt. Nos. 193 and 194 , the October 5, 2026 in-person final pretrial conference is ADJOURNED to January 12, 2027 at 10:00 am. By November 30, 2026, all remaining counsel are directed to meet and confer before the final pretrial conference to prepare the Final Pretrial Order in compliance with the form and content requirements of the Court. The parties MUST use the Court's Uniform Final Pretrial Order, available at UniformFinalPretrialOrder. Plaintiff's counsel shall prepare the Final Pretrial Order and shall submit it to all other counsel for approval before submitting it to the Court. No later than December 29, 2026, the parties shall email JRA_Orders@njd.uscourts.gov their proposed final pretrial order. The parties are advised that the Court intends to engage in settlement discussions during the conference. Accordingly, the senior attorney in charge of the case and client(s) with full settlement authority, including insurance adjusters, must attend. In the meantime, the parties are strongly encouraged to continue settlement discussions in order to resolve the matter without court intervention.
