   ORDER: The settlement agreements in this case require the employees to release claims under 16 statutes other than the FLSA and "any other federal state, or local law, rule, regulation, or ordinance" and "any public policy, contract, tort, or common law." (Doc. 8 -1, pp. 2-3, 6-7). Because the parties' motion for approval of the settlement does not indicate that the employees received additional consideration for these remarkably broad release provisions, the Court approves the settlements with the understanding that the broad release provision in paragraph 3(a) of the settlement agreements is not enforceable except to the extent that the plaintiffs release claims asserted or unasserted which the employees had under the FLSA as of the date of execution of the settlement agreements. The Court retains jurisdiction over this matter for 30 days to address any issues that may arise concerning the parties' settlement agreement.
