MINUTE entry before the Honorable Beth W. Jantz: On 7/14/2026, the parties informed the Court via email about the status of settlement documents execution. In light of this update, and at the parties' request, the Court converts the in-person status hearing scheduled for 7/15/2026 446 to a telephonic status hearing, which will remain set for 12:00 p.m. To join the hearing by phone, dial 1-650-479-3207 and enter access code 2308 182 1801. Entering an attendee code is not required. Members of the public and media will be able to call in to listen to this hearing. Persons granted remote access to proceedings are reminded of the general prohibition against photographing, recording, and rebroadcasting of court proceedings. Violation of these prohibitions may result in sanctions, including removal of court-issued media credentials, restricted entry to future hearings, denial of entry to future hearings, or any other sanctions deemed necessary by the Court. The status hearing will be cancelled, and no one need call in, if the settlement paperwork is filed prior to the hearing. Mailed notice. (as, ) (Entered: 07/15/2026)
MINUTE entry before the Honorable Beth W. Jantz: Telephonic status hearing on settlement held on 7/9/26. On 6/25/26, the parties confirmed that the final settlement agreement document had been finalized and was awaiting client signatures. 445 This followed the parties having reached a settlement to resolve the case on 5/13/26, which led to the striking of the trial date. 441 The parties advise that defendant(s)' signature(s) are still outstanding on the agreed-upon settlement agreement and personal guaranty. Given the repeated delays in finalizing the settlement that was reached on 5/13/26, if one or more defendant(s)' signature(s) are still outstanding on these documents as of 7/14/26, the individual defendants must personally appear in Courtroom 1812 at the Dirksen Courthouse in Chicago on 7/15/26 at noon for an in-person status hearing on settlement. The parties may advise the Court's courtroom deputy via email in advance of the 7/15/26 hearing if all necessary signatures have been obtained. Once these documents are fully signed, the parties should make efforts to file a motion for settlement approval by 7/17/26 and note in their motion by what date they anticipate that all payments will be made pursuant to their agreement. Mailed notice. (vjd, ) (Entered: 07/09/2026)
