MINUTE entry before the Honorable M. David Weisman: Pursuant to the stipulation of dismissal 31 , all matters relating to the referral of this case have been resolved, this matter is returned to the District Judge. Status hearing set for 4/24/24 before Magistrate Judge Weisman is hereby stricken with no appearance required. Referral terminated. Mailed notice (ao, ) (Entered: 03/25/2024)
MINUTE entry before the Honorable Franklin U. Valderrama: The Court has reviewed the parties' stipulation to dismiss 31 . Pursuant to the stipulation, this case is dismissed without costs to either party, all matters of controversy having been settled. The parties stipulate the dismissal is with prejudice and shall be a bar to the bringing of any action brought on or including a claim for which this action has been brought. The Court advises the parties that, generally speaking, Seventh Circuit decisions hold that dismissals "with prejudice" leave the Court without jurisdiction to enforce a settlement agreement. See Shapo v. Engle, 463 F.3d 641, 646 (7th Cir. 2006). Civil case terminated. Emailed notice (axc). (Entered: 03/25/2024)
