Order on Motion for Extension of Time to File Response/Reply/Answer
PAPERLESS ORDER granting 50 Unopposed Motion for Extension. Defendants Johnson & Johnson, DePuy Synthes, Inc., and DePuy Synthes Sales, Inc. (collectively the "DePuy Defendants") seek a 30-day extension of time to respond to the complaint from July 16, 2026, to August 17, 2026. In support, Defendants cite the complexity of the issues in the case and also the benefit of having a unified filing deadline for all Defendants. (See DE 48 ). Motions for extension of time must set forth good cause supported by specific facts. I find this standard to be adequately met here. Accordingly, the DePuy Defendants shall respond to the complaint by August 17, 2026. I will not extend this deadline further absent extraordinary circumstances. Signed by Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks on 7/9/2026. (kid)
