Notice of Hearing on Motion
NOTICE OF HEARING re: 30 Defendant's Motion to Compel Better Answers to Jurisdictional Interrogatories, and 35 Defendant's Motion for Leave to File Reply. Oral argument on these motions is set for August 27, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. before Magistrate Judge Christopher P. Tuite via Zoom videoconference. All pertinent parties will receive a Zoom videoconference invitation by separate email. Each person who participates in the proceeding must attend using his or her own device so that he or she appears on a separate screen during the videoconference. No later than August 24, 2026, Plaintiffs and Defendant shall (a) confer either in person, via videoconference, or by telephone in a good faith effort to resolve the matters; and (b) file a joint notice informing the Court of the results of their conferral efforts and whether any issues remain unresolved. If any such issues do remain, the parties shall include in their joint notice a description of those issues, with reference to the applicable documents, and the reasons for their continued disagreement. The parties and counsel are cautioned that any party or attorney who fails to confer adequately and fully with respect to any pending discovery dispute and/or who takes an unreasonable position may be subject to sanctions, including, but not limited to, the cost-shifting requirements of Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 37(a)(5). The parties are further advised that if the Court is required to conduct a hearing on August 27, such proceeding shall constitute each party's opportunity to be heard on the propriety of any sanctions under Rule 37(a)(5).(EE)
