Order on Motion for Conference
ORDER terminating 333 Letter Motion for Conference ; terminating 339 Letter Motion for Conference. No later than October 12, 2026, Plaintiffs shall designate ten items from Defendants' (Kuwait Finance House and Kuveyt Turk) privilege logs that shall be produced to the Court for in camera review. No later than October 15, 2026, Defendants shall produce those documents via email to the Court for in camera review. The parties shall appear for a discovery conference on November 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM in Courtroom 12A, 500 Pearl Street, New York, NY 10007. Finally, the parties are reminded that the Court's Individual Practices are not advisory. Merely asking for forgiveness to exceed the Court's prescribed word count, often by double the limit, is unacceptable. Going forward, the parties shall comply with the Court's Individual Practices, including the Court's requirement that letters be in at least 14-point type. If the parties wish to exceed the Court's word count, they may only do so with leave from the Court. That said, notwithstanding the parties' proclamations about the "importance" of the issues, requests to exceed the word count for a letter pertaining to a discovery dispute will almost certainly be denied.
