Staying Case
(In Chambers) Order by Magistrate Judge Rozella A. Oliver. To date, no motion to contest the good faith of the parties' settlement or any opposition to the application to approve the settlement has been filed. The Court finds that the settlement agreement constitutes a good faith settlement under California Code of Civil Procedure section 877.6 and therefore GRANTS the Application of Settling Parties for Determination that Settlement was Made in Good Faith 43 . Consistent with California Code of Civil Procedure section 877.6(c), this determination shall bar any other joint tortfeasor or co-obligor from any further claims against the settling tortfeasor or co-obligor for equitable comparative contribution, or partial or comparative indemnity, based on comparative negligence or comparative fault. The July 1, 2026 hearing is VACATED. The Court STAYS this action pending dismissal and directs the Clerk to administratively close the action. This is without prejudice to any party moving to lift the stay and place the case on the Court's active calendar. A status conference is set for July 7, 2027 at 11 a.m. by Zoom. The status conference will be vacated if the parties file dismissal papers prior to that date. (TEXT ONLY ENTRY) (RAO)
