MINUTE ORDER signed by Magistrate Judge Christopher D. Baker on 07/16/2026: The Court has reviewed counsel for Plaintiffs' representations in her untimely request to continue the deadline by which Plaintiffs shall file dispositional documents. (Doc. 165 ). For good cause set forth therein, the deadline by which the parties shall file dispositional documents is continued nunc pro tunc to 8/14/2026. No further extensions of the filing deadline will be authorized absent the parties' timely showing of good cause unrelated to their performance under any private settlement agreement. (Deputy Clerk CRB)
MINUTE ORDER signed by Magistrate Judge Christopher D. Baker on 07/16/2026:On June 1, 2026, the Court ordered the parties to file no later than July 15, 2026, a joint status report addressing the status of the underlying criminal case and the parties' intentions for further scheduling and prosecution of this action. (Doc. 51 ). On July 15, 2026, Defendants filed a status report without contribution from counsel for Plaintiffs in which they represent that certain counsel for Plaintiff (DeWitt M. Lacy and Julia N. Quesada) have stated they no longer represent Plaintiff. Because Plaintiff has failed to comply with the Court's order to file a joint status report (see Doc. 51), it is HEREBY ORDERED that counsel for Plaintiffs file no later than July 17, 2026, a status report in which they address the status of the underlying criminal case and the parties' intentions for further scheduling and prosecution of this action. Any failure by Plaintiffs to timely comply with this order will result in issuance of an order to show cause why sanctions should not be imposed. (Deputy Clerk CRB)
