Order Dismissing Case
TEXT ORDER: The Petitioner asked this Court to issue a writ of habeas corpus requiring release or a bond hearing under 8 C.F.R. §§ 236.1(d)(1), 1236.1(d)(1). Given the Sixth Circuit's decision in Lopez-Campos v. Raycraft, 175 F.4th 713 (6th Cir. 2026), this Court ordered the Government to either conduct a bond hearing or release the Petitioner. The Government reports, without opposition, that it has held a bond hearing. Based on the Government's response to that order, the Court instructs the Clerk to close this case. This is a final order.
TEXT ORDER: In response to the Government's notice that the Petitioner is no longer in federal immigration custody (DN 14 ), the Court denies as moot the petition and orders the Clerk to close the case.
