Order of Remand to State Court
ORDER REMANDING CASE: The Court ordered defendants Dea Adams and Danielle Adams to show cause in writing why this action should be remanded due to a lack of federal subject matter jurisdiction. The deadline has passed, and defendants have not filed a response. Accordingly, for the reasons explained in the order to show cause, this action is remanded to Queens County Supreme Court. The Court certifies pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1915(a)(3) that any appeal of this order would not be taken in good faith and therefore in forma pauperis status is denied for the purpose of an appeal. See Coppedge v. United States, 369 U.S. 438, 444-45 (1962). The Clerk of Court is respectfully directed to mail a copy of this order to defendants. Ordered by Judge Rachel P. Kovner on 2/12/2026.
