ORDER: The parties' 31 request for a settlement conference is granted. The settlement conference is scheduled for November 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. by video before Magistrate Judge Peggy Kuo. A link to access this Zoom meeting will be provided to counsel separately.
Plaintiff Karen Whitney, a representative of Plaintiff Fair Housing Justice Center, Inc. with complete settlement authority, and Plaintiffs' counsel must be present. Representatives of Defendants with complete settlement authority and Defendants' counsel must also be present.
The deadline for the parties to submit their confidential ex parte settlement statements to Kuo_Chambers@nyed.uscourts.gov is October 23, 2026. The statements must include the last offer and demand, and a frank assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of each party's case. For guidance on the requirements for the statements, the parties should consult Magistrate Judge Peggy Kuo's Individual Practice Rules.
