Scheduling Order
INITIAL CONFERENCE SCHEDULING ORDER: An Initial Conference will be held on August 26, 2026, at 9:30 AM before Magistrate Judge James M. Wicks via the Court's Video Zoom. The Court will e-mail the Zoom invitation closer to the conference date. All counsel must attend. Parties shall comply with Judge Wicks' Individual Rules regarding Expectations for Remote Appearances (see Rule § 1E).
Counsel for the parties are directed to complete the attached Proposed 26(f) Scheduling Order and electronically file same with the Court on or before August 19, 2026. Should the parties wish to adopt a plan for discovery different from the structure in the discovery worksheet, they may do so only if they file a letter explaining why such a plan is appropriate in this case.
Counsel for the parties are further directed to review Docket Entry No. 2 , concerning the assignment of a Magistrate Judge to oversee this case and Administrative Order No. 2025-14. By September 2, 2026, the parties MUST review and file EITHER the Notice of Option to Consent to Magistrate Judge Jurisdiction form consenting to the jurisdiction of the undersigned OR the Direct Assignment Program Acknowledgement form that confirms that they have conferred with each other and their respective client(s) regarding the option to consent to the undersigned. If the parties do not consent to the undersigned by the date set forth above, and have filed the Direct Assignment Program Acknowledgement form, the Clerk of Court will be directed to randomly assign a District Judge to this case. In that event, this Court will remain on the case and preside over all non-dispositive pretrial matters unless the assigned District Judge orders otherwise. The parties are advised that pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 73(b)(2), the parties are free to withhold consent without any adverse substantive consequences.
