Text Order
TEXT ORDER: The Court has reviewed Plaintiff's July 27, 2026 letter requesting an extension of time to respond to Defendants' pre-motion letter. D.E. 9 ("Extension Request"). The Extension Request does not comply with Section I.E.iii of Judge Padin's General Pretrial and Trial Procedures because it does not indicate that Plaintiff sought Defendants' consent before requesting the extension. It also does not explain why the request was not submitted sooner, although counsel's trial began one week before the response deadline. Nevertheless, in the interest of judicial efficiency, the Extension Request is GRANTED. Plaintiff shall respond to Defendants' pre-motion letter on or before August 6, 2026. Counsel is reminded that future extension requests must comply with Judge Padin's Procedures and be submitted promptly after the need for an extension becomes apparent. So Ordered by Judge Evelyn Padin on 7/29/2026. (bt)
