(In Chambers) Order by Judge Stanley Blumenfeld, Jr.: Defendant A.P. Moller Singapore Pte. Ltd. filed an answer in state court in June 2026 and removed the case more than two months later on August 31, 2026, invoking both diversity jurisdiction and admiralty jurisdiction. Dkt. No. 1. Defendant asserts that removal is timely because it did not discover the existence of diversity jurisdiction until received Plaintiff's discovery responses on July 31, but it does not address when it concluded or had reason to conclude that the case was independently removable based on admiralty jurisdiction. The parties are ordered to meet and confer in person or by videoconference to attempt to reach agreement as to whether removal was proper. No later than September 18, the parties shall file either a stipulation to remand or a joint status report stating the parties' positions on whether this Court has jurisdiction, whether removal was timely, and whether Plaintiff intends to object to removal on timeliness grounds.
