AGREED ORDER: Pursuant to Consent Decree 696 and a corresponding JOINT AGREED MOTION TO AMEND PARAGRAPH 261 OF THE CONSENT DECREE filed under docket number #1380, the Parties respectfully request this Court enter this Agreed Order, amending 261 of the Consent Decree to read the following (emphasis added to highlight the proposed amendment): Within 18 months of the Effective Date, and at least every five years thereafter, CPD will obtain an independent expert assessment of its promotions processes for the ranks of Sergeant and Lieutenant to ensure that its policies and practices comply with the law, are transparent, and are consistent with this Agreement" As agreed to by the Parties, this amendment to Consent Decree 261 would extend the next deadline for an independent expert assessment by two years, with a five-year cadence thereafter.
