Status Conference 1 - Terminate Deadlines and Hearings ~Util - Set Deadlines/Hearings
Electronic Minute Order for a Status Conference held on October 6, 2026, before Magistrate Judge James M. Wicks.

THE FOLLOWING RULINGS WERE MADE:
Following discussion with counsel during the Status Conference, the parties renewed Motion for Extension of Time to Complete discovery was GRANTED, and the following discovery dates and deadlines have been extended:
(i) The close of all discovery, including expert discovery (if any), is extended to November 20, 2026.
(ii) The final date by which the parties shall take the first step in summary judgment motion practice is extended to December 18, 2026.
(iii) The Final Pre-Trial Conference currently set for December 16, 2026, is adjourned to February 1, 2027, at 10:00 AM before the undersigned via the Court's Video Zoom. The Court will e-mail the Zoom invitation closer to the conference date. All participants involved shall comply with Judge Wicks' Individual Rules regarding Expectations for Remote Appearances (see Rule § 1E). A proposed Joint Pre-Trial Order ("JPTO") in compliance with the Individual Practice Rules of the Hon. Joanna Seybert, signed by counsel for each party, must be filed on ECF by January 25, 2027. If a Motion for Summary Judgment is pending, the Final Pre-Trial Conference will be cancelled and filing of the proposed JPTO will be held in abeyance.
The parties are reminded that the undersigned is available for a Settlement Conference if the parties so desire. In the event the parties would like a Settlement Conference, the parties are directed to contact the undersigned's Courtroom Deputy, via e-mail at Eric_Russo@nyed.uscourts.gov, with mutually convenient dates that the parties are available.
Defendants are directed to file their Answer on or before October 9, 2026.
