CLERK'S DEFAULT JUDGMENT CLERK'S DEFAULT JUDGMENT It is, ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED: That for the reasons stated in the Court's Order dated September 9, 2026, partial default judgments are entered against the Taliban on behalf of the Plaintiffs in the above-captioned matters who are identified in the attached Exhibits, who are each the estate of a U.S. national victim of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, or the immediate family member of a victim of the 9/11 Att acks; ORDERED that the Plaintiffs set forth on Exhibit A to this Judgment be awarded damages for conscious pain and suffering in the amount of $2,000,000 for each estate, as set forth in Exhibit A, against the Taliban; and it is ORDERED that t he Plaintiffs identified in the attached Exhibit B are awarded economic damages as set forth in Exhibit B and as supported by the expert reports and analyses either filed in conjunction with the Declarations of Jeny S. Goldman, John C. Duane, and Andrew J. Maloney or previously submitted to the Court (as listed in Exhibit B); ORDERED that the Plaintiffs set forth on Exhibit C to this Judgment be awarded solatium damages in the amounts previously awarded by this Court in similar actions ari sing out of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001: specifically that solatium damages of $12,500,000 per spouse, $8,500,000 per parent, $8,500,000 per child, and $4,250,000 per sibling, be awarded to the Plaintiffs accordi ng to the values set forth in Exhibit C; ORDERED that the compensatory damages judgments for the Plaintiffs identified in the attached Exhibits A, B, C be trebled in accordance with the mandatory provision of the AT A that provides that successful plaintiffs in an ATA action "shall recover threefold the damages he or she sustains and the cost of suit, including attorney's fees," 18 U.S.C. § 2333(a); ORDERED that the Plaintiffs identified in the attached Exhibits A and C are awarded prejudgment interest of 4.96 percent per annum, compounded annually, for the period from September 11, 2001, until the date of judgment; ORDERED that the Plaintiffs identified m the attached Exhibit B are awarded prejudgment interest o f 4.96 percent per annum, compounded annually, for the period running from the date as indicated in the "Date of Report" column in Exhibit B until the date of judgment; and it is further ORDERED that the Plaintiffs identified in Exhibit A, B, and C may submit applications for punitive damages, economic damages, or other damages (to the extent such damages have not been awarded previously or in this Order) at a later date consistent with any future rulings of the Court.
