Notice of Voluntary Dismissal - Signed
NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY DISMISSALPURSUANT TO FED. R. CIV. P. 41(a)(1)(A)(i): PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Plaintiff Houston Lawyers Association ("HLA"), the sole remaining plaintiff in this action, hereby voluntarily dismisses this action in its entirety, without prejudice, pursuant to Rule 41(a)(1)(A)(i) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. In support of this Notice, HLA states as follows: 1. Defendant National Bar Association, Inc. has served neither an answer nor a motion for summary judgment in this action. Defendants motion to dismiss under Rules 12(b)(2), 12(b)(3) and 12(b)(6) (ECF No. 29) was closed by the Courts Order of April 9, 2026 (ECF No. 62) and was never decided. 2. No temporary restraining order or preliminary injunction has been issued in this action, and no security has been requested, ordered, or posted under Rule 65(c). 3. HLA has not previously dismissed any federal or state court action based on or including the same claim. This dismissal is accordingly without prejudice under Rule 41(a)(1)(B). 4.Consistent with the stipulation of discontinuance entered as to former plaintiff J.L. Turner Legal Association (ECF Nos. 52, 53), HLA seeks no costs or attorney's fees from Defendant and submits that this dismissal should be without costs to any party. 5.Under Rule 41(a)(1)(A)(i) and Rule 3.F of this Court's Individual Rules and Practices in Civil Cases, this dismissal is effective upon filing and does not require an order of the Court. HLA respectfully requests that the Clerk of Court mark this action closed. Plaintiff Houston Lawyers Association's claims are dismissed without prejudice. The Clerk of Court is respectfully directed to terminate all pending motions and close this case. SO ORDERED. (Signed by Judge John P. Cronan on 7/30/2026) (jca)
