Local Rule 3.01(g) requires a moving party to provide a certificate of their efforts to "confer[] with the opposing party." Local Rule 3.01(g)(1), (2). While Insurers' motion certifies their efforts to confer with the non-party from whom documents are sought, it does not certify whether Insurers have conferred with the "opposing part[ies]" in the suit regarding the motion. See, e.g., Digital Assurance Certification, LLC v. Pendolino, No. 6:17-cv-72-ORL-41TBS, 2017 WL 4342316, at *7 (M.D. Fla. Sept. 29, 2017) (explaining that "Local Rule 3.01(g) applies to parties" rather than to non-parties from whom discovery is sought); Fennell v. Navient Sols., LLC, No. 6:17-cv-2083-ORL-37DCI, 2019 WL 4671163, at *1 (M.D. Fla. Apr. 1, 2019) (explaining that a plaintiff's motion to compel discovery from non-parties violated Local Rule 3.01(g) because, "[w]hile the rule does not address non-party disputes," the plaintiff's failure to first confer with the defendant violated "the spirit of the local rule"). Insurers are directed to supplement their motion, within three days of this order, with a notice certifying their efforts under Local Rule 3.01(g) to confer with opposing counsel regarding the relief requested.
