MINUTE ENTRY ORDER: Plaintiff's counsel has filed motions to continue the initial pretrial scheduling conference in this case (Dkt. 9) and another case pending in the Galveston Division: 3:26-cv-227; Bourgeois v. Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc. et al. Plaintiff's counsel is concerned that it not possible to handle two initial scheduling conferences set at the same time. Not so. In the Galveston Division, we handle monthly scheduling conferences with 20 or more cases on the docket at one time. For that reason, the motion to continue the initial pretrial scheduling conference (Dkt. 9) is denied. I look forward to reviewing the parties joint case management plan and discussing this matter with counsel at the September 16, 2026 initial scheduling conference. Parties notified. (rrc3)
