Minute
MINUTE entry before the Honorable Keri L. Holleb Hotaling: Off-the-record pre-settlement call held with all counsel on 07/01/2026. A three-hour HYBRID (in-person and video) settlement conference is set for 09/10/2026 at 1:00 p.m. This date is final and can only be changed by the granting of a motion. Plaintiff's counsel shall appear in person; Plaintiffs may appear via video but must be available for the entire settlement conference. Defendant's counsel shall appear in-person; Defendants may appear via video but must be available for the entire settlement conference. By 07/27/2026, Plaintiff's counsel shall send a demand letter to opposing counsel and to Judge Holleb Hotaling's chambers email, Chambers_HollebHotaling@ilnd.uscourts.gov. By 08/10/2026, Defense counsel shall send an offer letter to opposing counsel and to Judge Holleb Hotaling's chambers email. The parties agree to allow Judge Holleb Hotaling to conduct ex parte settlement discussions. Because party representatives may be appearing by video, counsels will need to bring/provide the following for the settlement conference: (1) counsel's own internet connection (such as a personal hotspot); (2) a laptop (a cell phone or tablet screen is insufficient); and (3) a video connection to the client (via Zoom, WebEx, Teams or the like) throughout the settlement conference. Plaintiff counsel should arrive early to set up the video connection so the settlement conference can begin on time. In-person participants should report to Courtroom 1700, 219 South Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL 60604, unless otherwise notified in advance of the conference. (rbf, ) (Entered: 07/01/2026)
